The training course “Youth for Peace” aims to provide 24 youth workers with different backgrounds with tools to empower young people both in EU and Neighboring Partner Regions to explore their own understanding of conflict and how to establish interventions based on participation to contribute to the transformation of conflicts in which violence is already​ ​happening

Objectives: A basic introduction into peace studies will set the starting point to analyze conflicts. Based on this introduction, the participants will share their realities, focusing in the role of youth in their context and will find a space to set up new initiatives and follow up initiatives and projects.

General​ ​objectives​ ​of​ ​the​ ​training​ ​course​ ​are:

-To understand the logic's of conflicts and the power of conflict transformation at all levels​ ​-​ ​from​ ​personal​ ​to​ ​inter group​ ​conflicts;

- To foster a dialogue about different types of conflict (inner conflict, interpersonal, inter-community​ ​and​ ​interstate)​ ​among​ ​young​ ​youth​ ​workers;

- To explore, share and learn participatory mechanisms to introduce in the activities and​ ​campaigns;

- To​ ​share​ ​and​ ​exchange​ ​approaches​ ​for​ ​youth​ ​participation​ ​in​ ​different​ ​contexts;

- To​ ​develop​ ​projects​ ​addressing​ ​community​ ​conflicts A variety of tools and methods of non-formal learning and interactive participant oriented approaches as role plays, simulations, workshops, exercises and theater tools as well as debate sessions and presentations of different local peace initiatives by participants will be integral​ ​part​ ​of​ ​the​ ​project.
