Peace Education in Youth Work – Competence Development for Peace Educators

APD in cooperation with the Centro Picasso (Estonia) hosted Training Course “Peace Education in Youth Work – Competence Development for Peace Educators” in Kobuleti, Georgia, from June 26-July 4, 2016, which included 24 participants from 8 countries from EU and EECA region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Estonia, Germany, Hungary and Italy).
Training course aims to introduce the participants to concepts of peacebuilding and conflict transformation as approaches in youth work.
Objectives of the training course:
To develop competences of youth workers and youth educators in designing, delivering and
evaluating peace education programmes for young people, especially those affected by societal and
To development of educational activities for peace education programmes with young people,
especially those affected by societal and ethnic conflicts
To create international partnerships among youth organisations and youth educators on peace
education in the youth field
