Education for Peace – Developing Competences for Peace Education in the Youth Field, 2nd Training Course

APD in cooperation with the European Intercultural Forum e. V. hosted Training Course “Education for Peace - Developing Competences for Peace Education in the Youth Field” in Kobuleti, Georgia, from June 18-26, 2016, which included 24 participants from 8 countries from EU and EECA region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Germany, Latvia, Netherlands and UK).
Training course aims to introduce the participants to concepts of peacebuilding and conflict transformation as approaches in youth work.
Objectives of the training course:
To increase the conceptual understanding of peace education amongst youth workers and youth educators
To strengthen educational competences of youth workers and youth educators in planning, delivering and evaluating peace education programmes for young people
To design and test educational workshops/ sessions on peace education for young people
